A single seat single engined low wing monoplane with conventional three axis control. Wing has unswept leading and trailing edges and constant chord; conventional tall. Pitch control by fully flying tail; yaw control by fully flying rudder. Control inputs through stick for pitch/roll and pedals for yaw. Cantilever wing; wing profile; double surface. Undercarriage has three wheels in tricycle formation, main struts of unidirectional fiberglass. Aluminium tube framework, without pod (EZ 1), with pod (EZ 2). Engine mounted above wing driving pusher propeller.
The EZ 1 makes use of aluminium sheets being used as the skin, bonded together by a double sided adhesive tape developed in collaboration with 3M.
Price 1984: $3,500-$8,500. Certified to FAR Part 23 standards.

The Hornet is a tailless flying wing of composite construction and powered by a Konig driven ducted fan mounted behind the enclosed cockpit. The aircraft sits on a reverse tricycle undercarriage to enhance its rough strip capabilities. The large wing folds back either side of the fuselage to facilitate storage and trailering.
