The Beech model 16 was an experimental all-metal low-wing light trainer produced around 1945/1946(?).

Described as a low wing light training aircraft with all-metal construction.

Certificate of airworthiness for N9716Q (16, MD-1) was issued 3 August 1970.

The prototype, registered N9716Q MSN MD-1 to Beech Aircraft Corp, Wichita, KS, first flew on June 12, 1970 and was the only one built.

The civil registration, N9716Q, cancelled on 5 November 1980.
