An evolution of the Catto CA 15 by Craig Catto, Dominique Loup built all the pre-series equipment of Swiss Aerolight Nimbus 001 in 1985 and John Bonvin built all the other pre-series equipment. For advanced pilots, the only two European copies were ordered by Dominique Loup and John Bonvin.
John Bonvin made structural modifications in the static distribution of constraints. A better distribution of the loads was obtained by redrawing the rear spar and the stabilizers of the trapezium.
Bonvin developed the Nimbus 2. The geometry has been completely redesigned to get + 8g’s in positive without permanent deformation and without breaking. The structure is to 11g ultimate.

Development was abandoned.

Suspended Animation produced the 1978 Zodiac which was similar to the Seagull Aircraft Seahawk. The Zodiac was designed and manufactured originally by Suspended Animation, Concord, CA, USA by John Reisig in 1978 and later improved by Carlos T. Miralles in 1979. Suspended Animation started out as a dealership and evolved into Spectra Aircraft.
Suspended Animation produced a similar design to the Seagull Aircraft Seagull III called the Tempest.
Suspended Animation was John Reisigs’ retail operation and a Seagull Aircraft dealer before manufacturing his own hang glider designs. Designs were similar to the Seagull Aircraft Seagull III called the Tempest, and Suspended Animation also produced the Zodiac which was similar to the Seagull Aircraft Seahawk.
