For advanced pilots and described as a great wing, easy take off and landings but tiring on thermalling. The wing is very stable.

The new MastR for advanced pilots appeared in 2007. The new MastR sail is a direct development of the Z8 sail, created by adding a central hole for the kingpost and reducing the number of battens in order to improve glider manoeuvrability.

Some important changes that have been made on the Z8 sail that have been incorporated into the MastR are the leading edge is not interrupted on the nose by the mylar pockets and the new sail plan design has eliminated all small imperfections, at all VG positions.
The double surface sail has been re-designed for perfect tension distribution a new reinforcement design has enabled a reduction in weight. The size Large has one extra batten with respect to the size Medium in order to reduce deformation of the wing profile at high speeds.

The lower batten pockets have been re-designed to simplify the insertion of battens and to prevent them from emerging from the batten sleeve, when the hang-glider remains open for an extended period at the launch site with a strong wind from behind.

The standard version was supplied with a dacron sail, called “Square” and the frame has profiled down-tubes with rubber on trailing edge, type aerosafe + round speedbar.

The 14m Laminar Mr700 (Mrx) version is very light in roll with vb off, vb on does stiffen up handling but does not yaw. Take off and landings are good, nice to thermal and good performance overall. Build quality is excellent with very nice precision made parts, rubber backed uprights, and easy to rig/de-rig.

Developed from 1997, the Laminar 13 ST I of 1998 is a particularly sympatic wing for those who do not weigh heavy, and is easy in all its handling, landing without problem.

Laminar ST

The Laminar ST is a topless model hang glider circa 1998. The R version has a kingpost.

Once in the air the Laminar ST wing is very nice, a little brighter and faster than a standard Laminar. In transition overdrive stretched in slightly turbulent conditions the wing tends to go in yaw and in addition it is very hard to turn and to correct, it is quite painful and unpleasant in the long transitions, overdrive stretched and low speed.

The Laminar ST 2 of 1999 is for advanced pilots.

Icaro 2000 Incanto

The Incanto (DHV 1-2) was designed in 2006 by designer Michael Nesler and Icaro. The glide ratio (5.65) equals that of some DHV 2 gliders but due to a number of performance intake valves, it has the rating and security of a 1-2.
Great communication from this wing, easy to launch and a joy to fly, the Incanto needs an active pilot in turbulence but is not demanding.

Icaro 2000 Instinct
