Edmond Seux (1869 – 1909) was a pioneer from the Lyon area, who invented an airship in 1902 and started experimenting with models in 1904. In the spring of 1907 he started development of a monoplane.
Seux went on to design a biplane together with the Roesch brothers in 1908. Edmond Seux was found dead in the Rhône in November 1909, having committed suicide because of financial problems.
Designed and built by Laboureix and Lagrevol, the SETCA Milan was first flown in 1947, obtained its CNRA in August 1949, and in 1952 received a normal certificate de navigabilite.
A second prototype was built and flown. Of all-wood construction. The cabin seats two side-by-side, with dual controls.
The Milan was shelved since no buyers showed interest.

The 1934 S.E.T. XV had a metal frame. /its equipment included oxygen and a complete radio set. The wing was an original S.E.T. profile with flaps.
The armament was two fixed machine guns firing through the propeller. They were under the engine cowling.

Among the series production SET types were 20 SET 10 advanced trainers, manufactured between 1932 and 1933.
The SET 7 was under construction in 1936.
The SET 4 was finished in 1932.
The Societatea de Exploatari Technice (SET) works, founded in 1924, production actually started only in 1927 with the SET 3 trainer.
The first aircraft designed by Societatea de Exploatari Technice (SET) was the Proto SET 2. The prototype, powered by a 450hp (335kW) Lorraine Dietrich radial engine, was test flown in 1927.
The Societatea de pentru Exploatari Technice (SET) works, founded in 1923 Fabrica de Avione S.E.T as a manufacturing subsidary, and was the third Romanian company to manufacture aeroplanes. Its aircraft production actually started only in 1927 with the SET 3 trainer. Until then, since 1924, only repair work had been performed there.
Developed aircraft designed by Grigore C Zamfirescu for Divisia l-a Aeriana. Designs included S.E.T. 7 biplane trainer, S.E.T. 7K reconnaissance variant, S.E.T. 10 biplane advanced trainer, S.E.T. XV biplane fighter; also made Fleet 10G trainers. SET X was single-seat fighter/trainer biplane; SET XV single-seat fighter biplane with enclosed cockpit, built in small numbers for Romanian Air Force during early 1930s; SET 7 was a specially equipped trainer; SET 7K a reengined observation derivative ordered in series by Romanian Government. Later SET 31 also adopted officially.
In 1925 Claude Sessions built a two-place, open cockpit biplane. Powered by an 80hp Anzani engine, it was built in Owensburg KY.
