Antonov Airlines currently operates the largest transport aircraft available for civilian use, providing the company with a significant revenue stream. Their services range from transporting civilian cargo to delivering military equipment, supporting both buyers of defense systems and military deployments worldwide, including operations in Afghanistan.
Previously, a Ukrainian An-124 was involved in a mission to support the launch of the French military satellite CSO-3. The aircraft was chosen due to its massive cargo hold, which allows for the transportation of oversized payloads.
The CSO-3 satellite was successfully launched into orbit on March 6, 2025, from the Kourou spaceport aboard an Ariane 6 rocket.
