The first Swiss airplane to leave the ground, a tandem-wing monoplane designed by the Estonian-born inventor Alexandre Liwentaal of Vernier, near Geneva, Switzerland. It was tested in September 1909, but it was underpowered and only managed jumps of 25 meters.
