The I.A.R. 818 first flew in 1960 and was reported to possess a maximum speed of 115 mph (185 kph) and normal and maximum ranges of 298 mls (480 km) and 603 mls (970 km) respectively, the IAR 818 is suitable for agricultural and ambulance duties.
