A survivor of Beagle Aircraft efforts was the Scottish Aviation Bulldog/Bullfinch line, fixed gear and retractable versions, respectively, of the original Pup, with 200 hp engines and substantial airframe changes. A retractable four seater, the Bullfinch had a 1,500 pounds useful load, 140 knot cruise and many small improvements over the Bulldog. The Bullfinch was shelved when Scottish Aviation was nationalised.
