Alon was formed in December 1963 by two former Beech officials, John Allen Jr & Lee O Higdon. They acquired all assets, jigs, tools, and engineering of the Aircoupe two-seater from former owners (Carlsbad, New Mexico) promoting an improved version as Alon AirCoupe.
They expect to deliver the first of 30-50 Aircoupes to be built next year for about $8,000.
Alon, of McPherson, Kansas, merged with Mooney Aircraft Corporation in October 1967.
