Formed July 1,1970, following an agreement the previous November between Butler Aviation International Inc. and American Electronic Laboratories Inc. to acquire Mooney Aircraft Corp., a subsidiary of the latter organization. The Aerostar Ranger was, in prototype form, the former Mooney Mark 21; Aerostar Chaparral was an updated version of the Super 21.
June 1971: Ended operations.
