About 10 of the 1930 AKL-26 (ATC 203) were built, including 3 AKL-60 prototypes, and one as the AKL-26 Special (ATC 2-111) in 1932 for twin-float modification. New price was US$3,500 or $4,500 as a floatplane.
The AKL-26A (ATC 204) of 1929 was fitted with an extra fuel tank, selling for US$3,550. About 40 were built, of which at least one, NC163M, was refitted with 80hp Genet engine. In 1934 a twin-float conversion, N159M, was made as the Uppercu AKL-26A (ATC 2-466).
The AKL-26B / AKL-85 / Model 85 Flyer (ATC 334) of 1930 sold new for US$$3,700, $3,300 in 1931 or $4,700 as floatplane (ATC 2-467). At least 14 were built, of which some were converted to AKL-27, also produced in 1930.
The AKL-26 Special (AKL-26X) (ATC 2-404) NX15640 c/n 2-64 was built in 1932, powered by a 65hp Velie M-5 engine.
The AKL-27 of 1930 was the same AKL-26B with 110hp LeBlond 7DF engine. NR387N and N863W were produced.
Three AKL-60 were built in 1930, from AKL-26; NC120H, NC122H and NC123H.
