The AL-24 was a 24 cylinder engine built around Liberty components in a fan, or double 12 configuration. The outer banks were 45 degrees and 35 degrees separated them.
The Aeromarine AL-24 engine was submitted to the Air Service for consideration for use in large bombing and seaplanes on 18 June 1921.
