
Designed for the Italian air force as an introductory trainer. The MB.308 first entered production in 1947 with either the 85 hp Continental C85 or 90 hp C90 engine.
The MB.308 is of wood construction with plywood and fabric covering.
Eighty MB.308s were acquired by the Italian Air Force and subsequently leased to Italian clubs.
The three-seat MB.308G featured the C90 engine and additional cabin windows. The MB.308G was manufactured under licence in Argentina by German Bianco SA from 1958, along with te MB.308-100 model with a 100 hp Continental O-200-A engine.
