AVI Sociedad Anunima Industrial Comercial Y Financiera AVI 205

 AVI-205-01
Prototype

Conceived as a multi-purpose aircraft equally suited for the roles of four-seat tourer, agricultural aircraft, ambulance, school trainer and glider tug, the AVI 205 flew for the first time in September 1960, development having been initiated in October 1958. The prototype was powered by a 205 hp Continental E-185-9 engine, but the production model was to have a 225 hp Continental E-225-8 engine driving a metal variable pitch propeller, and modified undercarriage.

For liquid spraying or dusting operations a jettisonable tank or hopper was to be attached beneath the fuselage.

The AVI 205 is of all-metal construction with fabric covering.
