Deperdussin 1913




The Deperdussin monoplane was the first aircraft to fly 200 km in an hour. Designed by Béchereau, powered by a 160-h.p. Gnome engine, and flown by Maurice Prévost, it won the Gordon-Bennett Cup in 1913 and smashed a dozen world speed records.
