Ultimately the 600 series Citations translated to the Model 680 Sovereign. The Citation Sovereign was first announced in 1998 and the first delivery was in September of 2004.

First flown on 27 February 2002, the eight seat Sovereign has a 2500 nm range and a fully integrated avionics system, with four large active matrix colour liquid crystal displays.
