Bleriot V

Louis Bleriot's Bleriot V built in the spring of 1907 was one of the earliest monoplanes. It had its wings, foreplane and part of the fuselage covered with paper, and sat atop a pair of bicycle wheels. The Bleriot V was wrecked on the very same site across which Santos Dumont's No. 14bis had lurched the previous year.
