Robitzsch-Stuhlmann Flugmaschine
This unusual 1911 "half-biplane" was equipped one small central upper wing above the lower wings. The latter could be swung forwards and backwards to move the centre of lift in relation to the centre of gravity. Another unusual feature was the trailing edges of the wings and horizontal tail, which were double and could be warped in v-shape in order to steer and brake the machine. It was designed and built by Hauptmann Robitzsch and Ingenieur Stuhlmann in Duisburg. It was powered by a 60 hp Hilz engine and ha a span of 14.5 metres.
