RMI / Repülő Muszaki Intézet RMI-6 Szúgyog / Mosquito
The Aero Technical Institute was commissioned for a small, strong-armed, twin-engine fighter. The Type X / V with a push-pull propeller (2 DB-605), had a nose wheel. The RMI-6 Szúgyog / Mosquito was specifically for checks of the nose gear wheel arrangement.
Designed by Varga László and built by theAero Technical Institute of the Technical University and the Aviation Technical Institute, it was equipped with a tricycle undercarriage.
Its construction started at the Aero Technical Institute and then went on to Ferihegy workshop. The nose landing gear was manual, in a single motion. In 1943, rolling tests the nose gear system behavior began.
It was destroyed by bombing in 1944.
